The first Saturday of every month our Home Depot has a woodworking project kids can build. On Feb. 7th, they made a small wooden trinket/jewerly box. Sorry, no picture.
Sat. Feb. 14th
Sarah picked the Crafters Corner in Orem http://crafterscornermetal.blogspot.com/
They each picked a project to make. And thoroughly enjoyed it!
Sat. Feb.21
Justin chose to participate in the scavenger hunt that Springville City put on for the businesses on the 400 S. exit. They got free things at almost every store. At the end, they turned in their papers for a prize drawing at Walmart and Justin won the bike! (Which he traded for a gift card since he already has a bike.)
Sat. Feb. 28th
We attended the Draper temple open house with Kathy and James. Sarah decided she wants to go to every temple open house that she can. It was a great opportunity for them to see what it's like inside. We were able to sit in a sealing room and talk about eternal marriage and families. Hannah's excited for her first chance to do baptisms for the dead.

When we finished, we went to everyone's favorite place, IKEA. : ) Really, the meatballs are amazing. We left with several fun kitchen utensils. If you buy nothing else from Ikea, try the apple slicer, salad spinner and cheese grater. All, completely awesome. Now we're all caught up!
Nicely done! I really need to catch up on our family adventures. We're having a snow day here, so one would think I'd do it today. We'll see!
ReplyDeleteHow cool you guys are so consistent with your Saturday adventures. Keep posting about them, because we like stealing your ideas. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun ideas. Yeah, as Russ mentioned, we've stolen a couple already. We even stopped at IKEA on our way home from attending the Draper Temple open house, too...but I'm pretty sure that was just a coincidence. ;)
