We've had a great spring & summer with visiting the Williams on the east coast, moving, vacations, visitors, hosting a wedding reception, releasing and new calling. Hannah went on trek with the stake and attended her first session of EFY. All 3 kids competed on the city swim team for the summer. All 3 of the girls in the family went to a fantastic week at Girls Camp. In honor of the official last day of summer break, I'm posting pictures of our spring/ summer fun!

Kaylyn- this is for you!

Late Saturday night, Hannah and I arrived home from her 8th grade class trip to southern CA. As a chaperon, I was not expecting to have so much fun. In fact, I'm signing up to go with Sarah in 2013! : )

It's a Wonderful Life and We Know It!

Without further adieu, we present our 2010 Larson Family Music Video!

This year was the first annual Larson Family Film Festival in Newport Beach, California. Kathy and James organized it, and they chose gratitude as the topic for the inaugural event.

We got the kids together to make a list of all the things we're thankful for, and then we decided to put it to REM's "It's the End of the World as We Know It (and I Feel Fine.)" We wrote the lyrics, recorded the soundtrack at the audio studio at Imagine Learning, and had a blast shooting the video!

We had so much fun making this for three of our family adventures. All of the footage was shot on my iPhone.

And, yes, we know our singing leaves something to be desired. (To be fair, the kids were born deaf. Becca and I have no excuse.)

Cleaning

Ben, Justin and Hannah ran to do errands, leaving Sarah home with me. After yet another assignment in cleaning, Sarah very wistfully stated, "Sometimes I hate being alone with you."

A quote

Justin to his mom: "I think you are being unpleasant and making Dad unhappy."

This was after I asked Ben to change the printer toner. Even Ben will defend me and say I was doing neither.

The Lion King

We couldn't convince Justin to come with us. The conversation went something like this.

J: "How long is it?"
Me: "2 1/2 hours."
J: "Can I play the Iphone?"
Me: "No."
J: "No thanks."
