Our Definition of Cool

Yesterday for FHE we had a lesson on being cool. I wrote COOL in big letters on a paper plate and then wrote lots of other words like "sic," "mean," "wicked," "awesome," "phat," "tight," "sweet," etc. We talked about how we each make our own definition of what is cool. It's not up to someone else to tell us what is cool. We get to decide.

So, we then each wrote on little pieces of paper things that we thought were cool and put them on the cool plate. When we had a bunch in there, we took a vote on who thought each thing was cool. Here's the list we came up with:

Then we talked about what happens if other people challenge what we think is cool. We talked about saying, "You can think what you want, but I do think 'fill in the blank' is cool." Anyway, it was a fun lesson.
